We are so excited to start this NEW school library with over 7,000 books! With over 1,000 books to shelve each week, the support of our volunteers is definitely needed to keep our library running smoothly. If you can’t commit to a fixed time or weekly schedule, your help would still be appreciated. There are several other ways you can help, including some tasks that can be done from home. Please look at all of our needs below! We will send an email or note home to confirm the time and day that you are scheduled to work. Thanks so much for your commitment to help make our library a wonderful place for our children! The library is a fun place to be for the kids and volunteers, too! Please don’t hesitate to call or email us if you have any questions!!!
Monday-Friday 9:00- when books are shelved (10:30ish)
We also have the following other opportunities:
*** Book Fair(s) Volunteers will help decorate, set-up, take-down, or assist students with Wish Lists.
***Birthday Books Volunteer will help write names of students on the Birthday Books papers each month.
***March Madness Volunteer will help create a bracket of the top 32 books that have been checkout this school year, then update the bracket as the students vote on their favorite books over a few weeks.
***Bluebonnet Books Breakfast Volunteers will help the librarian host a breakfast In January for students who have read books on the Texas Bluebonnet List. The breakfast will be on the second Wednesday in January from 7:30-8:10 am. It will be for 3rd-5th graders.
