Name that Book is an exciting reading club at Mahaffey Elementary and across Klein ISD.
Students in grades 3, 4, 5, who choose to participate can begin reading the list of 25 books. These books have been specifically chosen by Klein librarians to reflect a variety of genres and topics - some are classics, some are newly published, and some have even won major children's literary awards.
If you are in grades 3, 4, or 5 and interested in participating in this year's Name That Book Competition, You will be notified about our first meeting (during lunch) where we will form teams of 8 people or less.
The campus competition will be in January and the district competition will be Saturday,February 3, 2020.
Starting now, students are encouraged to read as many of the books as they can and take a few notes to help them remember the characters, setting, and plot. Multiple copies of these books are located in the Mahaffey library!!
